Welcome to Resignal. This Privacy Policy explains how kAI Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Resignal mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is strictly necessary to provide and improve our core services.

(2) Audio, Transcripts & Biometric Disclaimer
Resignal uses a dual-tier architecture for audio processing. How your audio is handled depends on your subscription tier:
- Standard (Free) Tier — On-Device Processing: Audio is processed entirely on your device using Apple’s built-in Speech Recognition framework. Your raw audio never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
- Pro Tier — Server-Side Processing: Audio is securely transmitted to our servers and processed via OpenAI’s Whisper API for higher transcription accuracy. Your raw audio is permanently deleted from our servers immediately after the transcript is generated and is never used for model training (see our Zero-Training Guarantee in Section 3 below).
- No Biometric Identification: Regardless of tier, we do not extract, collect, or store voiceprints or any other biometric identifiers from your audio recordings for the purpose of identifying you.
- Generated Content: Transcripts, AI-generated feedback, and interview analysis.
(3) Usage Information
- App usage data and interaction logs
- Device type and operating system version
- Basic analytics data to monitor app stability
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively to:
- Generate text transcripts from your audio recordings.
- Provide AI-based logic feedback and structured interview analysis.
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
- Maintain and improve the stability and performance of our application.
3. AI & Third-Party Processing (Zero-Training Guarantee)
To provide our core analysis and feedback features, we utilize enterprise APIs from third-party AI service providers, including OpenAI, Gemini, and DeepSeek. The scope of third-party processing depends on your subscription tier:
- Standard (Free) Tier: Speech-to-text transcription is performed locally on your device using Apple’s Speech Recognition framework. No audio data is sent to our servers or any third-party provider for transcription. AI-generated feedback and analysis are produced by transmitting your text transcript only (never raw audio) to our AI providers via secure enterprise API channels.
- Pro Tier: Audio is securely transmitted to our servers and processed via OpenAI’s Whisper API for enhanced transcription accuracy. Raw audio is permanently deleted from our servers immediately after the transcript is successfully generated. AI-generated feedback and analysis are then produced using your text transcript via our AI providers.
Zero-Training Guarantee:
- No Model Training: Your audio recordings, generated transcripts, and feedback are strictly not used by us or our third-party providers to train, fine-tune, or improve any foundational artificial intelligence models. All third-party API integrations are configured under enterprise or zero-data-retention agreements.
- We absolutely do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with data brokers or marketing agencies.
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We believe in minimizing the data we hold:
- Audio Files (Standard / Free Tier): Audio processed on-device via Apple’s Speech Recognition framework is ephemeral and is never stored on or transmitted to our servers.
- Audio Files (Pro Tier): Audio transmitted to our servers for processing via OpenAI’s Whisper API is permanently deleted immediately after the transcript is successfully generated. We do not retain historical audio files under any circumstances.
- Transcripts and Feedback: These are stored securely to allow you to review your past interview performance. They remain on our servers until you choose to delete them or delete your account.
- In-App Deletion: You have full control over your data. You can completely delete your account and all associated data directly within the Resignal app by navigating to Settings > Delete Account. Once initiated, all your personal information, transcripts, and analysis history will be permanently and irreversibly erased from our systems.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS).
- Secure, access-controlled cloud storage.
However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. State-Specific & California Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of California or other states with applicable privacy laws (such as CPRA, CCPA, or VCDPA), you have specific rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Know and Access: You can request details about the personal data we collect and how we use it.
- Right to Delete: You can request the deletion of your personal data at any time (accessible directly within the app).
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell your personal information.
- Do Not Track (DNT): Our systems do not currently respond to browser or device “Do Not Track” signals, as we do not track our users across third-party websites or applications.

7. Age Requirement & Minors
Resignal is designed exclusively for adults aged 18 and older who are preparing for professional job interviews. The Service is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. We do not intend to attract or solicit minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a person under 18, we will take immediate steps to delete all such data and terminate the associated account.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant, material changes by posting a prominent notice within the Resignal app.
